About the Event

Celebrated around the world for their “edge-of-the-seat performances” (Boston Globe), PCMF Artistic Director Melissa Reardon is the newest member of the award-winning Borromeo String Quartet. This dazzling ensemble makes its PCMF debut with a program that runs the gamut of glorious string quartet sounds: from playful, gracious Haydn to a folk-infused fantasia by Bartók, to Debussy’s inventive, shimmering sensuality.

Joseph Haydn String Quartet in F Major, Op. 74, No. 2 (1793)

Béla Bartók String Quartet No. 2 in A Minor (1915-1917)

Claude Debussy String Quartet in G Minor, Op. 10 (1893)

Doors open at 2:30 PM. Program run time is just over 90 minutes, including a brief intermission. Immediately following the concert there will be a Q&A with the artists.
